Who I am
Built for Her is the trading name of Claire Feldman, a sole trader based in Northern Ireland. I'm the data controller for information collected through this website.
You can reach me at claire@builtforher.ai. A postal address is available on request.
Registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number 00015427443.
What I collect, and when
If you complete the Business Leak Check, I collect your answers to the questions, the result the tool produced, and your name and email address if you choose to give them. The questions are about how your business operates — how enquiries are handled, how bookings and payments work. They aren't about you personally, and I don't ask for anything about your customers.
If you use the contact form or apply as a founding client, I collect your name, email address, business name, and whatever you write in the message.
If you book a call, that booking is handled by Cal.com, which collects your name, email address and the time you chose, and adds the appointment to my calendar.
If you sign up to the newsletter, I collect your email address and, if you give it, your first name.
If you become a client, I'll collect what's needed to do the work and to invoice you. That's covered by our written agreement rather than this page.
I don't ask for special category data anywhere on this site, and please don't send it to me through these forms.
Why I use it, and on what basis
| What | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Business Leak Check answers | To generate your result, and to understand which problems come up most often so I can improve the tool | Legitimate interests |
| Your name and email from the diagnostic | To send you your result and follow up about it | Legitimate interests |
| Contact and application forms | To reply to you and discuss working together | Legitimate interests |
| Bookings | To hold the appointment and turn up to it | Legitimate interests / performance of a contract |
| Newsletter | To send you the newsletter you asked for | Consent |
| Marketing emails to previous or current clients | To tell you about related services | Legitimate interests, soft opt-in |
You can unsubscribe from anything I send, at any time, using the link in the email or by replying and asking.
Who else handles it
I use a small number of service providers who process data on my behalf, under contract:
- Lovable — builds and hosts this website
- Supabase — the database storing form and diagnostic responses
- Cal.com — call bookings
- MailerLite — email newsletters and sequences
- Resend — sends the automated emails from this site, including your Business Leak Check result
- Microsoft 365 — my email
- Cloudflare — content delivery and site security
- Anthropic (Claude) — used to generate and interpret parts of the Business Leak Check result. Your answers are processed to produce the report and are not used to train the model.
If I add a new provider that handles data from this site, this list gets updated before it goes live.
I don't sell your data, and I don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
If I bring in a specialist to build something for a client, that specialist may need access to that client's systems. Where that happens it's agreed in writing with the client first, with a data processing agreement in place, and it never involves data collected through this website.
Where your data is held
Some of these providers store or process data outside the UK. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision, depending on the provider.
How long I keep it
Business Leak Check responses: 24 months from completion
Contact and application form submissions: 24 months from our last contact
Booking records: 24 months
Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, then 12 months so I don't re-add you by accident
Client records: 6 years after the engagement ends, for tax and accounting
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies needed to make it work — for example to keep your place as you move through the Business Leak Check. There's no advertising tracking and no third-party pixels, so there's nothing for you to consent to.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask me to give you a copy of what I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how I use it, or stop using it for marketing. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email claire@builtforher.ai and I'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If I change this policy I'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant and I hold your email address, I'll tell you.
